According to the practice, official organizations in the Russian Federation may not accept foreign document if it is not accompanied by certified translation. Legalized by a consular office of the Russian Federation in the country of origin of a document.
Consul authenticates the translation of a document from one language into another.
Therefore, in order to be accepted in the Russian Federation each document is to be:
Certified by an Apostille issued by the Office of the Secretary of State in
the respective state;
Accompanied by a certified translation.
The full text of the document is to be translated into Russian or English and signed by a certified translater. Consul varifies the translation and fasten together apostille, original document and translation in a way acceptable in the Russian Federation.
